Thank you Arts Council England and lottery players for funding a second iteration of Stepping Out, a weekend of outdoor adventure, performance and entertainment in Bideford and Westward Ho! which will take place from 30th August to 1st September. The event will feature a range of brilliant artists and entertainers from across the UK, headlined by –
The Park Up – a new Red Herring show, commissioned by Landmark Theatres. The show will also feature in an exciting new event taking place in and around the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe on 13th & 14th September. Audiences will arrive at the Egg Shack Cafe and be invited to step into a series of vehicles to experience performances reflecting lives of drama, toil, pain, hilarity, friendship and love…
So, we are hiring! We’re looking for collaborators based in the South West and ideally in Northern Devon:
- 2 professional devising actors/performers for The Park Up
- A professional set and costume designer/maker for The Park Up

We’re also looking for a Volunteers:
- Volunteers For Stepping Out – including stewarding, box office, technical support and hospitality, forging friendships and feeling part of the cultural community in Northern Devon. You must be over 16 years old.
- Volunteers join our community cast for The Park Up, with improvisation training to take part in our professional shows in Bideford and Ilfracombe – no experience necessary but a positive attitude and a commitment to join us for key dates will be required. You must be over 16 years old and we are particularly interested to work with young people aged 17-25.
